RESEARCH SPOTLIGHT: MOVEMENT OF NECK VERTEBRAE AND MOTOR VEHICLE TRAUMA
The Annals of Vertebral Subluxation Research has published a research article titled,
The Relationship Between Translational Movement of Cervical Vertebrae, Vertebral Subluxation and Motor Vehicle Trauma: A Retrospective Analysis.
The analysis shows that the involuntary motion associated with a motor vehicle collision causes sudden, exaggerated movement of the cervical (neck) vertebrae. This movement is strongly correlated with ligamentous laxity, foraminal encroachment, and neurological symptoms.
And there’s a direct relationship between the severity of the trauma and the severity of the resulting misalignment!
If you’ve been in a motor vehicle collision and are suffering with neck pain, we can help!
