CHIROPRACTIC CARE AND TRIGGER FINGER
Trigger finger occurs when the tendon that bends the finger becomes irritated or thickened, making it harder to glide smoothly. The finger becomes stuck in a bent position and may snap or “click” when straightened. Symptoms can include stiffness, tenderness in the palm, and locking of the finger. While injections or surgery are sometimes recommended, conservative care can help. Chiropractic and manual therapies focus on improving joint mobility, reducing soft tissue tension, and supporting healthy hand and wrist mechanics to decrease strain on the affected tendon.
Key Insight:
Improving joint motion and reducing tendon irritation may help restore smoother finger movement and reduce triggering.
